Josef,

I have found much the same response when conversing with friends or associates regarding y2k. Their attention span suddenly turns very short with rolling of the eyes soon to follow. I have gotten to the point where I really feel, why bother. They will know soon enough.
My opinion is that at the present time, this has been much the problem of the marketplace in general. The general public is too accustomed to being fed by 5 minute time spots. Anything that requires too much background in the explanation goes right by. IMO y2k may be much better explained in print. The real impact is too extensive and dramatic to be communicated in casual conversation.

Regards,

Gerry
