Steve, so the consensus among the right-wing these days is that this is a distraction, though poorly thought-out. 2nd-term presidents hardly ever enjoy a smooth ride into legacy-land, but it seems like Obama is really piling on one mistake on top of another. Meanwhile, even the mainstream media seems to be tired of all of this, since after almost six years, Obama has failed to live up to his promise to transform politics.
