LBJ saw the writing on the wall wrt what was about to happen via the VietNam Generation and the tentacles of social upheaval throughout Western Culture. He wisely stepped down. Nixon was a whipping boy for everyone who had any responsibility for a corrupt establishment (not that he was any less innocent). The same thing has to repeat itself if our modern corrupt government is ever going to get back on track. No one is currently holding the corrupt establishment responsible.
