<<<If South Korea tanks next week, i.e. the WON goes to
a *billion* for the dollar, all stocks w/o earnings will get
slammed>>>
<<<No one will care about earnings *prospects*.>>>
<<< Things will be in chaos until new *safe* market sectors are
defined. High tech and biotech ain't gonna cut it, at least
initially.

I disagree. A good sector to be in during the asian crisis
is Biotech. This sector is not dependent upon the dollar/won
ratio because competing products are not going to flood the
US market. The crisis has lowered interest rate forcasts
which I think is very good for the biotech sector. Althought
its not widely realized, this sector benifits dramatically
from lower interest rate projections. These companies
burn other peoples money and lower rates decrease their
cost of product developement. Also, the present value of
their future earnings increase dramatically as projected
interest rate are decreased.

So the world is not going to end, in my opinion,
