My only connection with Boston was a guy I went to grad school with, who had a speech impediment. The problem was, I didn't know it was a speech impediment. I thought it was a Boston accent. My roommate was throwing a party, and the guy walked in. I was half lit, and said, "Hewwo. Its Hawwy." The room fell deafeningly silent for a second then everyone laughed. I know that guy must still hate me for it but it was an innocent mistake. I never apologized to him, but I sure would if I ever saw him today.
