Joan, I have been a bear since late September, but there are going to be intermitent rallies, one of which I expect to start next week and carry into January preping us for a reall nasty fall, possibly worst than the minimassacre. Except that that one will not be done in one day, I think it will be strings of five, six down days interrupted by minor rallies of barely a day or two. I have said then and am saying again, I expect a low at around 6200 (bearish enogh bu no armagedon) witrh a first hit around the ides of March, and then a retest (with a possible false break down) in June July, getting us set up for a powerfdull resumption of the bull move.

You ask why? Its the tea leves and the turnips (vbg). Sriousely, we are facing a cyclical adjustment when overcapacity needs to be either absorbed ort written off. I think that the bankrupcy of a Samsung or something like that might set the stage for cleaning up the table and starting anew.
