I didn't say the southern states are thriving. I was talking about the people that have been getting jobs in these new manufacturing plants. They're getting a higher standard of living and with that they are going to demand a better education and better social services. I just think there should be a happy "medium" in industry. I personally know that union shops can KILL incentive. At least they have in the past. I certainly agree that we should find ways to make corporations pay their fair share of taxes. This stuff about moving your corporate headquarters offshore to avoid U.S. taxes is crap. I haven't looked up the definition of plutocrats lately, but I got a feeling that it means people with mucho money. There are liberals with mucho money too. We've got plutocrats runnin' all over the place.
