Good afternoon Sonki, VERY OFF TOPIC AND BORING

RE: your Blood pressure reading of 106/95: A normal blood pressure reads 120 over 80 with the systolic pressure measruing 120 mm Hg and the diastolic pressure measuring 80 mm Hg. Both the systolic and diastolic readings are important, neither should be high. Maybe it was the Saki that made your blood pressure a little bit off, but I would keep an eye on that diastolic number of 95 if that is not a typo. It was probably just a one time thing and nothing what so ever to worry about. Just ask them to check it next time you go.

That is great that you are putting such a long time commitment into your health and fitness. Congratulations. Losing weight is a long term effort, but so many people think that they can lose twenty pounds in a few weeks. I am glad to see that you are realistic about it. Good luck. Remember to drink lots of water. Here are some ideas for snacks for you.

Air-popped popcorn seasoned with herbs
Bagels, Breadsticks, Broth-based soups, Cereals, (low-sugsr, low-fat)
Cocoa,( low-sugar, low-fat), English muffins, fresh fruit, Frozen fruit-juice bars, gingersnaps, graham crackers, low-fat or nonfat frozen yogurt, Matzoh, Pita chips with salsa, Pretzels, Rye crsps or rice cakes THINLY spread with peanut butter or low-fat chesse, Sorbet, Tabbouleh, veggies marinated in vinegar or dipped in low-fat yogurt seasnoed with herbs, whole-wheat crackers. nonfat cream chesse.

Don't also forget that as you are building up your muslces, you body is using more calories (muscle burns more calories than fat even for basal metabolism). That means that even when you are sleeping or doing research on stocks you will be using up more calories. What a deal, right.

Those caliper measurements don't always tell us what we want to hear, do they. But they also can be inaccurate if the person measuring is not trained professionally, or if the calipers are plastic instead of metal or if they measure in the wrong place. I would suggest several readings just to be sure of the accuracy of your fatfold test.

Good luck and best wishes to you.

Margaret
:) :) :)

Sonki, Blood pressure

Please do not let someone at the gym take your blood pressure and tell you it is very low, 106/95 is not considered low. Top number is good , bottom number should be closer to 80. Typical average pressure is 120/80.

My wife is a Medical Technologist with 25 years experience. Please have your doctor do your physicals. How could he possibly comment about your heart??????

Sonki, I'm not trying to upset you but there is so much BAD medical advice out there. Everyone is an expert. Before dieting consult a physician. Rule number ONE.

I consulting mine about how terrible I feel about the market. gg

You asked me about investing 25% of your assets in Bonds, what kind ??
Fidelity has some good bond funds.

Peace,

Dennis 1

Ok Sonki, I read it and 106/95 is not that low. I think you must have forgotten the numbers. 106 is low but the 95 is not. You better ask him again. My wife has 112/75 and I have 120/80.
