To all:

Has anyone seen the latest Business Week article about Intel...In it Andy Grove states that he doesn't intend, any time soon, to manufacture chips with multimedia functions--"integrated chips"--due to the low margins. He sites specific examples of where this attempt has failed in the past, with 386SL chips, and doesn't plan to make the same mistake twice. He disagrees with Cyrix's approach with their MediaGX chips (or whatever it's called), and cited Intel's higher gross margins per chip vs. the competition and their desire to maintain these higher margins--integrated chips would seriously impact profitability.

I know this doesn't help in the short term, but I think it addresses investors' long-term concerns about Intel taking business away from CREAF by building multimedia functions on their chips.

Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts on the Jan 22.5 calls--will these be a winner by expiry? BTW when is CREAF's earnings anouncement expected?

Thanks,
Emad
