It seems like the rich have made a habit of using the Republican Party as their vehicle.

Just like the Unions have used the Democratic Party.

We do have an extreme case of income inequality in the U.S. I just read that our median income is 4th in the world but our income equality is 17th.

Maybe Piketty's theory is the answer for everything but in the U.S. you still need to control the government to get anything done and the Republicans will probably control BOTH houses of congress after this year and the Democrats will probably win easily in 2016 the way things look. That looks like it will give us a deadlock for a while.

Voters aren't generally into science, whether it's social or climate or geopolitical or whatever.
