It would surprise me if Apple has a strong iPhone quarter given the iPhone6 is around the corner. It would surprise the market as well and set the stage for a huge December quarter. It would be a particularly good performance considering the headwinds in Japan this quarter. Slacker

Good point. I Was Wrong About Apple and two other recent bearish Seeking Alpha articles that examine the current situation and paint a less than bright picture for the iPhone: An article about the App Store in China Amazon's New Smartphone Spells Trouble For Apple Would love to see some critiques of these pieces. There are clearly some loose assumptions being made, but there are also some convincing statistics showing the mix of iPhone models shifting out of favor may be more of a concern than the total iPhone sales volume itself.
