Do you notice how GW stays pretty much to himself these days?

More lies.

GWB is actively involved in a number of projects on veterans issues, his library, etc....
He does not comment on what a mess Odumbo has made of things because he has class....something a usefull demolib idiot like you would never even begin to grasp.

Ted,
Actually many of us refrained from calling them nazis despite the fact they started a senseless war of aggression.......much like Hitler.
Bill already disproved that.

Do a Google search on "Bush Nazi." You'll find many, many links to left-wing web sites making the comparison.
Do you notice how GW stays pretty much to himself these days? He gets what he did.
You need to stop fooling yourself.

Bush continues to stand by everything he did, including the war on Iraq. He keeps to himself because he's enjoying the quiet life, not because of any guilt you think he should be feeling.

He doesn't "stay pretty much to himself". Not sure where you got that idea. He's out constantly doing things, particularly with veterans, who apparently can't get enough of him.

What he DOES do is refuse to comment on politics. And he has explained that. The Framers of the Constitution were extremely concerned with the deleterious effect a former president would have on current presidents, if the former president were running around shooting off his mouth about national events. (See: Jimmy Carter, who doesn't understand this concept).

Some might call it "staying out of the way." His dad did it; Reagan did it. I suppose the only presidents, these days, who don't stay out of the way recently have been Carter, and to a lesser extent, Clinton.

Bush's ability to stay out of the political fray while his successor behaves stupidly is a virtue. I couldn't do it; you couldn't do it. But Barack Obama isn't taking ANYONE's advice, and certainly would take the advice of GWB, so while it might be personally satisfying to point out Obama's considerably flaws, it would be (a) pointless and (b) never-ending because there are simply far too many.
