I'm just guessing.....due your own DD.

Well I found some of my own answers in the 'raw filings' at the SEC.

Preview Travel...

Book value less than $5.00.........I think it was $3.75.

Agreement with Excite & AOL......Excites distribution fees to Start after 9/30/97.....so there should be a bump up on this deal in 4th Q.

Total to be paid to Excite (24Million), AOL (32Million) as follows;

1997-8.5 M
1998-4.1 M
1999-10.9M
2000-12.4M
2001-12.4M
2002-7.7M

There was mention about sharing ad revenues & commissions...
I couldn't find the agreements...but if it goes on percentage acording to the above split 24/32 or 42.8% Excite. That would be about 3.6M this Q....because it's all that's left of 1997? Said payment were to begin in the 4th Q, or after they went public....

I'm just guessing...BTW.

% of online e-commerce Sales;

MAR.........AOL...89%.........
JUNE.......AOL....77%........Excite.....8%
SEP..........AOL....67..........Excite....13%

Gross Sales were over 20 Million for the 3rd Q Preview....they are paid on a commission basis for those sales. So On-line Sales & Commissions are two different numbers.....Commissions are much..much less.

They also have their own website and an agreement with NBC Interactive.

They are growing at a pretty good clip.......but they will be burning cash for some time to come IMO......but it's worth watching anyway.

I'm more interested in how Excite is doing in the deal....

5%er's on Preview Travel from SEC.

AOL, General Electric, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, US West Interactive Services.......and a couple other mix'n matchers.

All-in-all........it didn't look like a deal with Howard Hughes.....Just another one of those inovative E-Commerce Companies worth watching.

Anybody know if there is a thread for this Company?

BTW doc thanks for not mentioning IN-u-know.
