The right and even some of the left think we should do "something" about Syria to keep our position of "world leadership"...ie, arm the "moderates". We don't have enough Stingers on the world's arms market.

So what does a broken clock think we should do?

The insurgency takeovers of the last few days are a further confirmation that Bush had it exactly right to recover the country with the surge and keep a US presence there.

And say what you want, but these events are a result of Obama's incompetence. The entire point of slogging through the insurgency in 2006-7 was to prevent what is now happening.
