Really interesting information, HC. I wasn't aware of the volatile environment, guess that's what your comany's safety equipment is all about then. But I'm definitely aware of the high-dielectric nature of polymer films, especially when they are being peeled off rollers and sliding over various idlers, guides, etc. (Years ago I used to demonstrate this to company personnel who handle static-sensitive electronic components by peeling Scotch tape off a small roll next to a neon bulb with a striking voltage in exess of 100V. Everyone was amazed to watch the bulb light up, and it drove the point home very well)

I've been wondering to what basic polymer family the base film that is used in this type battery belongs - could it be PET? It is apparently something that readily accepts plastizisers, since substituting these, which are often light mineral oils, with the elctrolyte is one of the basic process steps in the Valence design. I'm eager to learn more.

Regards,
- T -

Ok, this week is past and there has been very little action with VLNC, up or down. So, did the company "throw the gasoline on the production line"? How'd it fare? Did your safety equipment do its job? We haven't heard from you all week, so at this point, IMO, no news is good news. (Am I dreaming here?)

Mooter, FMK, hope you guys are still with us. FMK, know that you're working long hours to get some more cash to invest in VLNC, but would still appreciate any insight you have into VLNCs progression. Same to you mooter....

(Looks like another bad day in the market. Let's hope that VLNC doesn't get pulled down even more with the rest of the market since it's already been raped and pillaged!) Damn, and to think I had ALL cash just 2 months ago waiting for the market to correct.....they don't say patience is a virtue for nothin! Money you don't invest you don't lose (other than against inflation, which is zippo right now. Oh well, money you invest, you can either lose or win big, which I hoping for the latter, of course!

Here's hoping that the triple witchind day passes without a scare and that the new year gets here fast!
