I have the ultimate private water source and I am extremely satisfied with the water quality and reliability.

I have my own well.

Its not the ideal case for private provision of services. Certainly there are other areas where the case is clearer. But in many cases various forms of privatization, partial privatization, or simply maintaining the previous private sector provision of water seem to have worked out pretty well.

Whether or not the water companies are privatized, I'd like to see more market involvement on the wholesale side of the water. A lot of water is just allocated by government rules, rather than any sort of market for the resource.
