I for one have never needed an appointment. Just go into the office and sign the waiting list. The doctor sees me within the hour. Of course there are times when the waiting list is longer and times when the list is shorter.

If you do need to see a doctor immediately, you can't get an appointment with your primary care provider for weeks so you go to the ER.
