I think, QNTM is known as the quality leader. I know a computer engineer who hates SEG drives as they crash frequently. I lost a lot of data on a SEG drive and would never own one in future.

I can see how the WS guys and less informed investors may not know the quality difference and QNTM's DLT business and may even have gotten swayed by the WSJ report of Friday that talked about SEG. This may have been also a reason for why QNTM kept falling from the day's high of 20 9/16, while SEG rose from its low to close unchanged.
