The complexity of countries, tribes, anti American groups, terrorist groups and Islamists is a very complex web. internationalrelations.com washingtonpost.com We have enemies on both sides in Syria and Iraq. There is nothing we can do unless we see a clear path. And we must do it in concert with Europe. They are in more danger from the ME than we are. So far Obama is doing exactly the right thing i.e. trying to figure out the best path. Mccain wants to go off half cocked and every single informed person I have seen interviewed like Fareed Zakaria said that is naïve to the max. I agree. Iraq should have been divided up into three counties a hundred years ago: Kurds in the north, shia in the south and Sunnie in the west. But the west created the boundaries. Now the people in the ME are doing it themselves. Remember the west divided up those countries. Let the people who live there divide them up.
