This map provides a good description of the religious, ethnic and other divisions. I doubt these terrorists just showed up without some opportunity to take them out earlier. There have been news discussions that Iraq has been asking help for weeks / months as this mounted. But you know our dear leader declared victory in Iraq, over Al Qaeda and OBL. I think the embassy will be a big issue, that is a huge symbolic and apparently functional security investment in the region. I dont think we are ready for TV's around the world to be blazing a Mideast version of the evacuation from Saigon. google.com dailymail.co.uk
