Ryan claimed to have bought 420 puts in July 2013.
Several other times since then, most recently a batch ~1 month ago that was well into the red, though has come back a bit this past week. I added a tiny bit to that position on Tuesday. A couple of my positions were extremely profitable, and the losers have been substantial as well. Overall, pretty much a wash. Fared best in late 2012. Not sure why my trades matter, but if you're ever interested, I'm happy to share - just ask.
I don't recall him saying he owned Apple stock, but I could very well be incorrect.
I owned it (and call options) at various times over the past decade, up until Spring 2012, when I became bearish (clearly a bit earlier than would have been ideal). Part of the reason I enjoy participating here is to evaluate a reentry point. While I'm nowhere close to that at the moment, Apple's recent steps in the direction of more openness and choice, as well as seeming interest in more partnerships, give me hope that maybe something big will happen that will cause me to shift my entry point much higher. Until/unless they take those bigger steps (I've detailed them before, won't bore you by repeating), I'll likely stay away.
