We never felt women should be subservient to their husbands, o rmates and supported them to leave their husbands if they wanted and get abortions and otherwise manifest their own destiny as equals in all respects. What happens along the path of life is different for everyone. What is important is that women are treated and seen as equals at all times. And that includes work, and home and child rearing responsibilities. The right is now and always has waged a war on women And as I recall most of the religious teaching on the right, e.g. Baptist, Mormon and Catholic, teach subservience to males.
