Evan you can look all you want, but unless you can get into the databases of Pfizer, you won't be able to get an idea of the effectiveness of Viagra on moderate to severe ED, that data is just not available. As Leland said, Vivus cannot make any supportable response to Viagra until they have that data, and, no doubt that is exactly why it is not available yet.

While I'm posting, still no word from Dr. Greco on my request for further information. My take on the Greco thing is that it was done for Caverject. After what MUSE did to Caverject sales in the US, I think this was a pre-emptive strike planned to counter the UK approval of MUSE. The tipoff was that most of these patients had previously been on Caverject, and there was a little blurb, in one of the reports, that said they were not interested in switching to MUSE after the study. (My guess is they were willing to say anything to collect the check and get the heck outta there, Pronto.)

However the 11 sucessful candidates were seen hanging out later at the local Gold's gym, something about a side bet, winner take all. <gg>

ED That's not a pun is it.
The folks on this thread who think Viagra might be a flop are just having a New Year's wish. As I have said before the placebo effect of this drug will have tremendous sales and incidently it does work some also. There will be a dip in MUSE sales when it comes out because right now MUSE is the first line of treatment with a progression to ICI or vacuum device. When Viagra comes to market it will definitely be the first line treatment and when there is a failure MUSE will enter the picture. If there is a significant foreign sales built up the dip could be minor as it also will have to go through approval processes and MUSE will handle this well.
