I have noticed a subtle, yet refreshing change in these sector performance charts over the past 3 months. ASND, once well in the bottom 1/3 of the list, has steadily been moving up in the ranks. I am actually comforted by the fact that we have already seen the worst, and are therefore somewhat cushioned to any further distress stemming from this awful market. Now it's everyone else's turn.

Style,

I agree. You are right that it is helpful to put ASND in perspective. It is doing relatively well vis-a-vis other networkers since the 3Q earnings release cleaned out the house. Still, I wouldn't wish what has happened on anyone (and I know you would not either). Imagine having held Cabletron.

Tell me that the upside can be as dramatic as the down. We all could use a change of pace.

By the way, I'll be here next week but gone Mon., Tues. and Wed. Xmas week (skiing in Park City). During those eves, I will try to post closing stock prices and, if I can, the relative performance charts. I won't be able to do blocks during the day, but again (if I can get internet access) I will try to post them in the eves. Maybe things will change for the positive when my eyes are glued to the trails, instead of the monitor.
