broke down and bought Barrons this afternoon..there was mention
that Cisco just warned its investors on the impact the year2000
might have on their sales..
probably the analysts will now start coming out of woodwork..lowering
high tech earnings..if the highly respected companies who are leaders
in their field are already putting out warnings..wow..people are
not going to be able to keep their blinders on..also the Asian
crisis..all that liquidity vaporized...I wonder if people are going
to start getting scared of the low bond rate when reinflation might
be around the corner...
so many rabbits have been pulled out the hat..wonder what type of
rabbit will appear next...(golden?)(I do think the explosive nature
of the internet has to be a real plus..)
wouldn't it be neat if the IMF had to defend its track record before
making any more bailouts..
a friend told me that with the savings and loan bailout..the biggies
who were at fault sheltered their money by buying huge huge homes,
expensive cars and art since under the law..their homes and cars couldn't be taken away..or something like that..
