Pigbiy - Re: "Why doesn't Intel buy Mrvc? "

Intel has already invested in MRVC - Intel has acquired 200,000
newly issued MRV shares, at a price of $20 per share. Intel has
warrants to acquire 500,000 additional MRVC shares at the same price.

MRVC manufactures some of the switch equipment that Intel sells under their own (Intel) brand name.

However, Intel has also purchased Case Technology and Dayna Communications, both of which are in the network hardware business.

As for MRVC, they have a good product line up and should do quite well as long as the overall economy remains healthy - which is no sure bet at this point.
