<<Perhaps our human senses are deceiving us — maybe existence is an illusion, and reality isn't real.>>

This apparently has been a topic of discussion among human beings for many thousands of years. Much has been written by theologians and philosphers about the difficulty of separating illusion from reality in one's own mind. Along with this is a lamenting about the ineffability of language to describe what it's like to experience God.

Relative to your post is this often cited scripture:

"For now we see through a glass, darkly: but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
I Corinthians 13:12

When I come across a near death experience claim, I usually will read it. Some resonate, some don't. There are many who speak of experiencing absolute clarity on the other side. They then describe their regret at having to leave that clarity and coming back to what some have described as 'living underwater".
