<<Speculating, I think it's just as likely, perhaps more so, that we are an experiment in creating intelligent beings by advanced extraterrestrial aliens..>>

Actually that thought has occured among religious folk, too. In the OT, the prophet Ezekiel had a vision and recorded what seems like a spacecraft. Plus God comes down to Moses in a cloud which always makes me think of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. And a few others.

I'm pretty Mormon orthodox but still open to anything. In pondering how a God created modern human fits into the evolution to life forms, it once occured to me that for all we know God might have swung by and done a little gene splicing on primitive humanoids.

Just a few days ago, I read that the best stem cells are found at the end of bones and have extra-special properties. My thoughts immediately went to the Bible claim of woman being created from a rib, ha!

Who knows how it all works. I think we're actually at the baby stage in our understanding of the universe.
I also think it's a failure of imagination for those who can't make room in their minds for the possibility of God.
