Iraq was a massive corporate boondoggle after the mission was accomplished. Companies came swooping in on the dead carcass of a country like seagulls flocking to a dying fish. If we had gotten out after doing what we said we would do before going in, we would have saved thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars.
