There was never any doubt most would pay their first premiums. After all, they went through the signup process. The idiots who promoted the idea they wouldn't pay the first premium were just being ridiculous.

But maintaining coverage throughout the year -- that is a different matter. As they realize the deductibles are far too high to do them any good on a day-to-day basis, they will drop out.

There is also the fact that the number of enrollments was certainly vastly overstated.

Bottom line is at most a million or two got new insurance. And of even the freeloaders getting Medicaid, as it turns out, many are not eligible -- the federal government just started classifying EVERYONE as eligible. One article cites a state that has found persons with six and seven figure incomes who were thrown into Medicaid.

It is government doing what it does best. Screwing everything up totally.

Obamacare is a failure and it is no accident the only people who think otherwise are those posting on this thread.
