CBI. Agree with your opinions about the business prospects being okay and also current tug-of-war.

If it's correct that somebody looking into the balance sheet can correctly see there is a large significant problem with CBI given the way it accounts for good will or other items -- big enough problem to initiate a short position, then I am surprised that professionals like Columbia Acorn or Calamos (Isn't he also known for his short acumen?) didn't see it or weigh carefully what they did see. And for Buffett/surrogates (largest institutional holders of CBI) who presumably are balance sheet experts to have missed it or underestmated the importance of what they saw, that would be a lesson not to rely on experts/gurus.

Ah well, relying on these pro's has worked for me in past. Perhaps a mistake here. Nevertheless, I'll bet on the company, and I add more to my position today as stock continues to fall.
