Mr Robin Forshaw reports
A recent mapping and sampling program has been directed at stockwork type
zones, postulated to be the source of the high grade veins in the San Jose de
Gracia camp. The stockwork system extends from the Tres Amigos zone
approximately 2.5km south to the Purisima Ridge zone.
Purisima Zone
Trenching on the Purisima Ridge identified a favourable zone of stockwork type
mineralization 40 to 120m wide and open on strike. Sampling of this zone returned
values averaging greater than 2.0 g/t gold. Within the zone, individual higher grade
veins exist (eg 2.0m grading 12.5 g/t).
Diamond drilling on the Purisima targets gave unsatisfactory results due to faulting,
fracturing and the extreme oxidized nature of the rock. DDH 97-56 was collared
within trench 5.2 (which was earlier reported to have returned 26m grading 3.1
g/t). Core recovery was less than 50% with most of the oxidized material being
lost. Return sludge samples were taken. A 130m section from 22.5m to 152.5m
averaged 0.436 g/t gold. These values are difficult to quantify and are only
indications of gold existing within the zone tested.
Within the stockwork envelope a vein, thought to be an extension of the high
grade Purisima zone, was encountered. This vein assayed as follows:

From (m) to (m) Intercept (m) Gold g/t
137.5 140.5 3.0 31.90

Drill Hole 97-56A was abandoned at 12.2m due to ground conditions. Core
recovery was less than 40%. The hole averaged over 1.0 g/t.
Other Zones
Continued sampling elsewhere on the property, aimed at outlining bulk tonnage
potential, resulted in significant gold values. The Mina Grande and San Pablo
zones adjoin the Gossan Cap to the north and west. The following tabulates
sample results received to date.

Zone Sample Width Gold g/t
Type (m)

Mina Grande Chip 21.9 7.42
Chip 2.5 6.40
Chip 1.0 1.68
Chip 3.0 2.72
Grab N/A 20.45
Grab N/A 4.49
Chip 1.8 1.82
Chip 1.0 1.18
Gossan Cap Chip 10.0 8.13
Chip 2.0 1.79
San Pablo Chip 1.0 35.04

These results indicate the stockwork system contains significant gold in
disseminations and veins. The mineralized system is open in all directions and
further sampling has taken place. Limited sampling on the La Prieta zone resulted
in assays of 3.19 g/t gold over 8.4m.
Poor ground conditions encountered in the Purisima and previously on the Gossan
Cap resulted in very poor core recoveries. Accordingly, the company has
determined that reverse circulation drilling shall be the preferred exploration
technique for these targets. Budgeting is currently underway for this RC program.
The phase H drilling and sampling program has been suspended for the Christmas
break. Results from further sampling and seven drill holes are pending and will be
reported upon receipt.
