Stagger,

I wouldn't underestimate the importance of this Netcom deal, like the AirTouch tie in, I think its a pretty savy marketing move & fairly easily replicated with other ISP's .....
As for the management, they've done well handling to technology side. It's the marketing execution thats sucked.
Marketing, Marketing, Marketing

Check out the short interest, not to many scared bears.

>What makes people think that the 128K technology will be any more successful than the existing
technology, which has been by all measures an absolute failure for investors?

Perhaps the issue isn't speed, but marketing. They should be handing out these modems with each laptop
purchase!

But keep quiet about that idea. I'm short.<

Agreed. When Ricochet was rolled out, it was as fast as the alternatives and no one showed up. Without kicking out the management team, it may be credulous to assume things will be better once 128K is rolled out. But, alas, I too am short. However, I will cover the moment the management team gets the dump. I still see no comparable technology at reasonable cost. (I was long, but thought the run through the teens was irrational.)
