I agree that it's not worthwhile to have to defend oneself. A simple statement to that effect should suffice when, and if, the "need" to do so should arise. It's not necessary to be overly sensitive here. I learned a long time ago that, no matter how hard I try, I cannot get everyone in the world to agree with me. (No matter how WRONG they are!)
