Glad you grew out of it. My skills and weaknesses are firmly set now, but my point with the dyslexia is that disadvantages can in some instances be advantageous by giving people fresh perspectives with problem solving. :)

It is not well recognized but people do outgrow dyslexia. Happened to my father-in-law. Smart guy but struggled to read. My mother-in-law wrote all his papers in college. Graduated, had a successful career. In retirement he plows through books.

In late adolescence the brain goes through a major rewiring. It is not surprising to me that some people go through a transient dyslexic episode in that process.
