Great article, John, about the entangled world of Govt. and business. Strangely enough, there is quite a bit of shared outrage between the right, mainly libertarian, and the left. In the area of solutions, though, things fall apart.

Clearly he was in bed with crony capitalist and his opponent hammered away at that theme. (This has occurred in the past; Teddy Roosevelt and his Trust busting). The article wanders away from this general theme as it goes into the issue of the World Bank and then defends crony capitalism as a necessary evil. On this though I disagree with the author. Capitalism doesn't need the help of government and the more time the two spend getting cozy - the worse it is for everyone else; the taxpayer and the worker.
