<<They are the number-one resource on the web, and they are growing faster than any other resource on the web besides. Period. Over & out.>>

Nonsense. I still beleive the numbers have been enormously skewed by lots of people in their offices clicking on Yahoo quotes 100 times a day while they lose money.

Still way too early in the game.

$3 Billion market cap.
$50 million in sales
$200,000 in operating profits.
$20 million net loss.
Period. Over and out.

William: <<Bigger and growing faster than ESPN Sportzone, than Time-Warner-Turner's huge site (including CNN) pathfinder.com, than abcnews.com, netscape.com, disney.com, msn.com, aol.com, globe.com (the biggest newspaper site)... anyone>> doesn't this worthy competition scare the hell out of you? scott

I have my.yahoo.com as my home page, and I love it. But i am not married to yahoo, if something better comes along I will switch in an instant. my.excite.com is fairly comparable, and the competition will only heat up.

To me yahoo is the equivalent of TV Guide, a necessary part of the Internet but not the ultimate destination. Would love to own the stock, but not at these prices. i find it ludicrous to read these posts that Yahoo is worth a $3 billion market cap because it is some magical portal to the Internet that will fill in (like some teenager buying clothes) in 5 years.

Ask yourself this question : if Yahoo disappeared today, would anyone really notice? Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, et al would be sorely missed, I can't say the same for Yahoo.
