No. They're hard to get rid of even if you wanted to. We (the US) has spend billions getting rid of its chemical weapons. A large arsenal near here (PBA) required something like five years of full-time work to destroy the stockpiles.

That's just one of the problems with them. But that doesn't mean they weren't present in Iraq. And it doesn't mean there are still many present in Iraq.

And it doesn't mean they weren't moved to Syria or other places.
