huffingtonpost.com When my son was visiting colleges, we visited the St. Louis zoo and saw a brown bear sucking himself off. It was funny as a mother a 2 little kids went by and the mom, was startled and rushed her kids away. The explanation given in this article is funny--the bears were orphaned at an early age. There is a much simpler explanation--they are in captivity and bears, like humans, do each other in prison. See "Orange is the New Black". and "OZ". The other explanation is that they are Polish bears. (I couldn't resist.)

Here is what bothers me about Obama's speech. He said over and over, everyone over there has to work together or this will not work. Well, there is NO chance of that happening. None. Zero. The Kurds are not going to give up Kirkuk (and the dream of their own country, and why should they?); and recently claimed territory; and the Sunni and Shiite will never get along now. There is simply too much rancor and too much blood has been spilled. These 13th century cultures are into revenge big time. So if that is what it takes, the equation he laid out will not work. So how does going back into Iraq make sense? He also kept using the word terrorists. We need to fight the terrorists. Isis is only a few thousand people. The Sunnie invaders are really the millions of displaced Sunnie, Maliki has been torturing for years now. Everyone knows the Sunni in Iraq tortured and subjugated the Shia for decades and Bush then neutered the Sunni and put the Shia in power and they have been getting revenge. I saw Joy Reid say today: "of course there was going to be revenge. I figured that out when we went in, in Florida, just sitting over a type writer." Well, I know what she means as I have posted a zillion times this was going to happen, exactly as it has happened. It was a simple thing to figure out. We need to stay the hell out of Iraq and Syria. There is no role for us here I can see at the present and certainly not helping Maliki.
