It seems like Apple is feeling the pressure from Win.

That narrative has grown very old and tired, and remains completely unsubstantiated. Whatever happens with WiLAN, it will not move any cash/financials needles at Apple. WiLAN is inconsequential to Apple, other than being a bug that needs to be squashed.

None of which answers the questions that this development provokes:

Why was this major development not disclosed by WiLAN, given the huge downside possibilities?

How much of WiLAN's backlog is now at risk due to this action by Apple and in what time frame might those revenues start disappearing?

Recall that with vchip, revenues disappeared long before that fact was disclosed by WiLAN....
