Yes, it is arrogance. And it's stupid to pretend pollution is the same today as it was when that picture was taken.

Every Top Manager at the VA Got a Positive Performance Review, Despite Wait-Times and Patient Deaths

Almost as Unsurprising: They Wrote Their Own Performance Reviews

Message 29591272

....
Agency executives write their own performance evaluations, which seem to receive only cursory reviews from their supervisors, several committee members said in questioning the VA’s top personnel officer.

While everyone was deemed at least "fully successful" in meeting their performance goals, 57 percent of top managers were rated to have exceeded expectations and another 21 percent were found to be "outstanding,"according to testimony from Gina Farrisee, assistant secretary for human resources and administration at VA.

Liberal radio host would lie to 911 in hopes of getting people killed

Liberal Radio Host Wants Open-Carry Supporters Shot In The Head…

Keepin’ it classy.

MIKE MALLOY: I guess what I’ll do if I’m ever in that situation and I see one of these half-witted yahoos walking in with a weapon, high-caliber rifle like that, I’ll just put on a berserk act. I will just start screaming Gun! Gun! Gun! Watch out, everybody hit the deck! Guns! Guns! Everybody! And then dial 911 and I will say, shots fired, which will bring every g**-damned cop within 15 miles. And then the half-wits with the long guns are going to panic and they’re going to run out of the store and if that rifle isn’t shouldered properly, the cop is going to take a look at that and put a bullet right in their forehead.

Wanna Bet? Would-Be Robber Loses Wager With Armed Man

A Democratic man looking for cigarettes and for an unarmed victim got neither Friday morning.

Alton Lindsey said that a man approached him asking for cigarettes in the parking lot of the Jackson, Mississippi, Motel 6 where he and his co-workers were staying.

Lindsey, who is from the west coast, told the man he did not have any.

That’s when the man turned away to leave but then wheeled back around towards Lindsey.

“Betcha’ ain’t got one of these,” the would-be thief said, drawing attention to a gun he had pulled, according to Mississippi News Now.

“As the unknown male walked away, he turned around and pointed a weapon toward the complainant and advised the complainant that he bet he did not have that, which he was directing toward the weapon he was holding in his hand,” Jackson police department spokeswoman Colendula Green said, according to WAPT.

But the assailant miscalculated his odds.

“He pulled a gun on him and my boss pulled his little pistol out and I guess he shot him in the chest,” Christopher Atwood told WAPT.

Atwood said that after being shot, the assailant fired at him.

“We heard a gunshot and we stepped outside and that’s when I saw the guy backpedaling and we yelled, ‘Hey’ and he turned and fired at us,” said Atwood.

A bullet hole was found in the window of a vehicle that witnesses said belonged to Lindsey.

The assailant fled the scene but was later apprehended at a nearby apartment complex. He was taken to the hospital. His injuries are non-life-threatening.

Lindsey was taken into custody, according to WAPT. But Mississippi News Now reported that he is currently not facing charges.

Man With Knife Approaches Father And Daughter — Father Pulls Gun

An Idaho man says he is glad he recently obtained a concealed weapons permit after he said he was forced to pull his gun when a man wielding a knife approached him and his two-year-old daughter on Wednesday.

“Me and my daughter were parked here and I was standing by the vehicle on the rail,” Anthony Broyles told KREM.

The father and daughter were spending the day together at Lake Coeur d’Alene.

“There was a van that was parked in that direction with two gentlemen sitting in it,” he said.

“I turned around and there was a guy that was sneaking up on me … probably about 15 feet behind me and he asked me if I had any money,” said Broyles, who also told KREM that he thought the man wanted to kidnap his daughter.

“I pushed my daughter back, pulled out my weapon, cocked it and aimed it at him,” said Broyles, whose .380 LCP Ruger forced the man to flee.

“I believe in carrying weapons,” said Broyles, a former Marine who obtained his Idaho concealed weapons permit earlier this year.

“If I didn’t have my pistol today I’m pretty sure I would have been dead,” Broyles said.
