The big religions are all in to patriarchy. But they were dreamed up by men, obviously, so why wouldn't men want to run things? Just for a little shake up, I hope we'll see some cults pop up with female deities. And if they last long enough, they'll get to be established religions too. I mean if you could get people behind the idea of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of their God- it can't be all that hard to start a religion. And don't get me started on magic underwear and Xenu.

No not a voyeur but have the information from a solid source about the marriage rites in the first half of the century in the Temple in Salt Lake.

Yes the Baptists, Mormons and many other religions such as the Muslims in the news lately all have their women kowtow to their men.

Just saying a lot of whacky stuff in religion and Under the Banner of Heaven was a pretty decent book most of the material is public knowledge with just a tiny bit of research as is the fact that the Women must obey their husbands and church elders all of whom are men of course.
