there's a whole bunch of money that the brokerages will get in on Jan 1, from pension plan fundings and year-end bonuses. Maybe we'll see a bounce into early January, then decline again- maybe after microsoft earnings are announced. Some caution is prudent.
I think this is the beginning of a real bear market in techs, the earnings warnings from most big companies will send them screaming to cut costs, fixed expenditures will be delayed and growth plans will slow. It will have a domino effect.
