We're All Redskins Now
.............................................................................................
By Fay Voshell June 23, 2014
americanthinker.com

Conservatives should be disabused of any notion that the recent revocation of the Redskins’ trademark by the US Patent Office had anything at all to do with the disparagement of Native Americans, real or perceived.

On the contrary, the exercise in political correctness is not about aggrieved Native Americans. It’s about the power to redistribute wealth and to eliminate private property.

Essentially, the Left has declared that no person’s or company’s trademark (or patent) is safe. Get together a group of lawyers who are experts in victimization and who have access to some aggrieved group, find a trademark name -- or even an invention -- offensive and go at it. Now everyone can have a chunk of the Redskins franchise. It’s been equitably redistributed among the masses -- if any of the proletariat actually wants to risk being called “racist.”

It should be noted the real issue for the Left is not that the Redskins trademark is egregiously offensive. The real issue is about the power to control any entity that will not adhere to the current politically correct commandments. It is about targeting anyone who has bad, bad thoughts. For instance, companies with perfectly innocuous trademark names like Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby have as their CEOs people who think, according to liberals, “disparaging thoughts.” Therefore, those companies also should be driven out of business and their CEOs turned out to beg on the streets or forced to enter thought reform classes.

The contrived controversy over the term “Redskin” indicates the devolution of the law into linguistic analysis. Somewhere, everywhere, there is a Stasi-like human being in the IRS or the NSA who is poring over every word any given person is saying. Actual transgression of or actual guilt before the law? Jettisoned as inconsequential. Guilt is affixed because of a word or thought deemed unspeakable or unthinkable by leftist thought police who analyze every twitch of vocabulary in order to find transgression. Every word of a conservative is parsed as carefully as preachers search for the meaning of holy writ.

In brief, the Left has abrogated to itself -- to mere humans -- the god-like power to declare a person or persons guilty on the basis of one, solitary misspoken word; one suspect trademark.

It’s all very dangerous stuff.

For one thing, playing linguistic footsie with words like “offensive,” “disparaging,” “racist” and “hater” means those words take on the same amorphous meaning as certain words used in the Soviet Union (and Maoist China) to get rid of political opponents. Certain vague, all encompassing terms were used against innocent citizens in order to give the government the authority it wanted to attack, arrest and send millions to the gulag.

“Hooligan” was one such term. It was employed with great effectiveness to incarcerate just about anyone the government wanted to get rid of.

As Brian Lapierre wrote in his abstract, “ Making Hooliganism on a Mass Scale,” in 1956, the Russian government decided to crack down on what it called its accelerating “hooligan” problem by handing out sentences for the crime of hooliganism to a huge number of people. He writes:

“With the passage of the 1956 RSFSR petty hooligan decree, the state created a less serious form of hooliganism and a less serious form of hooligan punishment in order to combat this multivalent criminal category's most minor and mundane manifestations. The petty hooligan decree, by watering down the definition of hooliganism, transformed the commonplace borderline behaviors of the everyday into imprisoning offenses. By defining deviance downward, it made millions of ordinary citizens, whose behaviors would earlier have escaped punishment, into hooligans; exposed them to police power that was often arbitrary and unregulated; and dragged them through a degrading detention process. The petty hooligan decree shows us that 1956 was more than a year of liberalizing political reform. It was also a time of increased prosecution, coercive refashioning and aggressive state intolerance towards an expanding array of outsider identities.”

Two other favorite terms during the Stalin era were “undetected criminals” and “ wreckers.” The search for “wreckers (saboteurs) resulted in show trials of engineers, who were deemed “enemies of the People”—another favorite catchall phrase now summed up by the current Left by the term “Republican.” It seems the entire GOP is filled with “arsonists,” “jihadists” and “terrorists?” In fact, though most did not know it, the military is loaded with evangelical Christians who are also “terrorists?”

It is scarcely a stretch to see that the words “racist,” “hater,” and even “offensive,” and “disparaging” can be and are being used to condemn masses of basically decent folks who are for the Left, “undetected criminals.”

All the above is nothing new, of course.

The Prophet Isaiah was quite familiar with those who targeted the innocent with frivolous accusations. And he had strong words of condemnation for them.

He wrote there were those “who with a word make a man out to be guilty.” In other words, there were people who caused a person to be indicted because of one word. The accusers were ready to defraud the innocent with meaningless arguments, making a man an offender for a mere word—a word inadvertently spoken without any intent to harm; or a word without any bad meaning.

The result was that any person could be condemned on frivolous pretences; actually, for nothing at all.

What Isaiah had to say about those who condemned the innocent for a mere word applies to the manufactured Redskins non-controversy. By using the now catchall word “racist,” or some other vague word like “disparaging,” the Left seeks to destroy the entire franchise by making it essentially worthless.

The Redskins controversy is not the first time the tactics have been employed; and doubtless, it will not be the last. But if history is any indicator of where such tactics lead, the targeting of the innocent for a mere word is a sure sign of tyranny.

It must be stopped.

Time to go on the warpath.

The sleeper case that could bust open the IRS scandals
..........................................................................
By Thomas Lifson June 27, 2014
americanthinker.com

In the absence of a special prosecutor, the best opportunity for piercing the veil of secrecy and evasion that surrounds the IRS handling of groups perceived as enemies of the Obama administration lies in civil litigation.

The National Organization for Marriage has just obtained a $50,000 settlement from the IRS for its criminal release of confidential donor information to an opposition group.

But so far Eric Holder’s Justice Department is not pursuing inquiries into who feloniously released that information.

The absence of any official judicial inquiry into the inner workings of the IRS processes is why it is so important to note that yesterday saw the beginning of the discovery phase in the lawsuit by Z-Street a pro-Israel organization that was told its application for tax exempt status was being delayed because:

…these cases are being sent to a special unit in the DC office to determine whether the organization’s activities contradict the Administration’s public policies.

Z-Street’s lawsuit alleges unlawful viewpoint discrimination, a First Amendment claim. The IRS tried several arguments to dismiss Z-Street’s lawsuit, all of which were dismissed by Washington, DC federal district court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, an Obama appointee. She noted that Z-Street was not suing to gain tax exempt status, but rather over the viewpoint discrimination evidenced by what it was told by IRS agent Diane Gentry about contradicting administration policies – the process by which the IRS made the determination on tax exempt status. In the words of the Jerusalem Post:

The Z Street case may be what forces the IRS to pull aside its carefully constructed curtain and reveal how it made decisions regarding organizations deemed out of step with the current US administration.

Judge Jackson gave the IRS until June 26 to respond to Z-Street. That deadline has now passed, so the case enters discovery. This means that Z-Street can subpoena IRS officials, place them under oath, and ask them questions about how they acted, and cross examine them closely. They can also subpoena documents and require their production. This is much different than a House committee hearing in which members have only a few minutes to ask questions, and when friendly Democrats have their opportunity to apologize for the impertinence of daring to ask questions of our IRS masters. Depositions taken under oath can last many hours and involve detailed questions.

What makes the Z-Street case unique and potentially extremely damaging is that its lawsuit was filed in August 2010. That filing placed the IRS under legal obligation to preserve records.

The Wall Street Journal’s Review and Outlook column explains:

Under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and legal precedent, once the suit was filed the IRS was required to preserve all evidence relevant to the viewpoint-discrimination charge. That means that no matter what dog ate Lois Lerner's hard drive or what the IRS habit was of recycling the tapes used to back up its email records of taxpayer information, it had a legal duty not to destroy the evidence in ongoing litigation.

In private white-collar cases, companies facing a lawsuit routinely operate under what is known as a "litigation hold," instructing employees to affirmatively retain all documents related to the potential litigation. A failure to do that and any resulting document loss amounts to what is called "willful spoliation," or deliberate destruction of evidence if any of the destroyed documents were potentially relevant to the litigation.

At the IRS, that requirement applied to all correspondence regarding Z Street, as well as to information related to the vetting of conservative groups whose applications for tax-exempt status were delayed during an election season. Instead, and incredibly, the IRS cancelled its contract with email-archiving firm Sonasoft shortly after Ms. Lerner's computer "crash" in June 2011.

In the federal District of Columbia circuit where Z Street's case is now pending, the operating legal obligation is that "negligent or reckless spoliation of evidence is an independent and actionable tort." In a 2011 case a D.C. district court also noted that "Once a party reasonably anticipates litigation, it must suspend its routine document retention/destruction policy and put in place a 'litigation hold' to ensure the preservation of relevant documents."

The government's duty is equally pressing. "When the United States comes into court as a party in a civil suit, it is subject to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as any other litigant," the Court of Federal Claims ruled in 2007. The responsibility to preserve evidence should have been a topic of conversation between the IRS chief counsel's office and the Justice Department lawyers assigned to handle the Z Street case.

The potential destruction of evidence, by becoming a separate tort, opens the door for judicial inquiry into the IRS destruction of evidence. Armed with subpoenas and able to examine and cross examine people under oath, Z-Street has the potential to bust open what really went on at the IRS.

Strangely enough no major media outlet covered the opening of the discovery phase of this case. Only Gretchen Carlson of Fox News had the wit to notice, and interviewed Lori Lowenthal Marcus, head of Z-Street (and an AT contributor):

The Disastrous Tenure of “Obama’s Enforcer”
.............................................................
Townhall.com ^ | June 28, 2014 | Ed Feulner
...

I don’t know who the next U.S. attorney general will be. But I know I pity that person. Restoring the Justice Department’s reputation in the wake of Eric Holder’s tenure will take a lot of work.

You can find out just how big a task it will be in “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department,” a new book by John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky. Even at a relatively slim 217 pages, it’s quite a bill of indictment.

It’s one thing to read about certain cases as they pop up in the news cycle -- an article about a civil-rights investigation here, a blog post about Operation Fast and Furious there. It’s another to assemble them in one place and get the big picture in one sitting.

Holder is the first attorney general in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress. Considering his behavior toward the legislative branch, it’s not surprising. He stonewalled, for example, when the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned him about the scandal that erupted when it was revealed that the IRS was targeting conservative organizations.

Or take the testimony he gave the House Judiciary Committee when asked about prosecuting the press over publishing classified material. Holder swore that he had never been involved in that or even thought about doing so.

Yet the committee subsequently learned that Holder had approved a search warrant for Fox News reporter James Rosen’s emails by “swearing to a federal court that Mr. Rosen was a co-conspirator in a national security leak investigation.”

How did Holder explain this gap between his answer and the truth when the committee asked about it? He didn’t. He refused to answer.

Then there’s the deplorable way the Civil Rights Division has been run under Holder and Thomas Perez, an assistant attorney general from 2009 to 2013.

In their chaper “The (Un)Civil Rights Division,” Fund and von Spakovsky detail numerous instances in which Holder and Perez “pursued a militant civil rights agenda intended to help Democrats win elections and implement …. a socialized America where racial, ethnic, and sexual quotas are required in everything from college admissions to public employment to school discipline.”

But Holder will probably be best known for overseeing Operation Fast and Furious, which put more than 2,000 guns into the hands of a Mexican drug cartel and led to the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens and a U.S. Border Patrol agent. When federal lawmakers began investigating, Holder again opted not to cooperate, but to cover up.

Any claim “that ATF ‘sanctioned’ or otherwise knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons to a straw purchaser who then transported them to Mexico is false,” Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich wrote to Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) in February 2011. “ATF makes every effort to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally and prevent their transportation into Mexico.”

But nine months later, after weeks of foot-dragging and attempts to find “dirt” on those who had blown the whistle on Fast and Furious, the Justice Department finally came clean. In November 2011, Holder admitted under oath that the gun-walking had, in fact, occurred. The February denial was rescinded.

To some observers, the idea of a truly ethical Justice Department is something of a pipe dream. As far as they’re concerned, the attorney general is nominated by a president who’s either Democrat or Republican, so we shouldn’t be surprised when he conducts business is a partisan manner.

Such a cynical view, though, is unfounded. Many fine attorneys general have served ethically defensible terms under both Republicans and Democrats. The tenures of Edwin Meese under Ronald Reagan and Griffin Bell under Jimmy Carter, for example, prove that the Justice Department can be run in an entirely independent, professional way.

Holder’s term as attorney general represents the other end of the spectrum: driven by politics, tainted by scandal and mired in corruption. The need for an attorney general that will, in fact, uphold the Constitution in a fair, impartial and ethical fashion has never been greater.

Eric Holder and Seizing Elian

By Byron York

November 18, 2008

nationalreview.com

One of my favorite Eric Holder stories involves his role in the Justice Department’s handling of the Elian Gonzalez case. In the period before armed agents seized the child, the Justice Department had been leaking its intention to avoid any sort of armed intervention. It would all be done quietly, they suggested. When top Department officials were asked about it, they said nothing to change that impression. About two weeks before the raid, Tim Russert asked Holder, “You wouldn’t send a SWAT team in the dark of night to kidnap the child, in effect?” Holder answered, “No, we don’t expect anything like that to happen.” Then the Department did precisely that.

Now what would people say to the proposition that the Constitution is ‘Fundamentally Flawed.’ What The Regime has shown us is that criminals in government have few restraints. Does anyone honestly think that Holder will be held to account and punished either now or under any future administration. He is going to get away with it unless a bolt of lightening strikes him down. There are no teeth in the Constitution because it assumes goodness in our elected officials. And as for the issue of ‘Standing’ in our laws... ... !!!

The only way to restore the credibility of the Federal Government is to prosecute Holder, Obama and all the rest of the criminals and put them behind bars. Then fire all the useful idiots who helped them but may not have committed criminal offenses.

Then prosecute all of those outside of government who were complicit in the Obama era corruption.

Then pardon all the patriots and soldiers Obama put in prison.

Then get control of government spending and eliminate the waste, fraud and abuse.

Then, and only then, can you begin to govern.

Saw good review of the book with Fund and Spakovsky tonight on C-Span2 - will probably be repeated several times over the next few days - Holder was actually number two at DOJ under Clinton, specifically because they didn’t expect that Reno would follow Clinton’s political orders very well and needed an operative there to do the dirty work - most discouraging was the authors’ opinion that so many leftwing ideologues/operatives had by now been put into career legal positions in the Department that it will take years to clean them out and get ethical, non-partisan lawyers in their place - well worth watching if you can catch the program.....

Bodies of Three Missing Israeli Teens Found Near Hebron

Jun 30, 2014 By ALEXANDER MARQUARDT and BRUNO NOTA
abcnews.go.com

White House Reaction to Teen Deaths in Israel

The bodies of three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped in the West Bank earlier this month have been found north-west of the city of Hebron, the Israeli Defense Forces confirmed today.

"Following extensive searches in order to retrieve the three abducted teens ... three bodies were discovered in the area north-west to Hebron, north of the community of Telem," the IDF said in a statement. "The bodies are currently going through forensic identification. The families of the abducted teens have been notified."

An emergency cabinet meeting has been called for 2:30 p.m. ET, and an announcement could come during or after the meeting, a source told ABC News.

Hamas, the Palestinian militant group accused by Israel of taking the boys, has denied kidnapping the teens, though senior Israeli and Palestinian officials agree that the abductors were likely tied to -- or part of -- Hamas but operating without orders from the organization's leadership.

One of the teens, 16-year-old Naftali Frenkel, had dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship and his family is from Brooklyn, N.Y. The two others were Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach.

Watch: Inside Army Search for Missing Israeli Teens in West Bank

Israeli forces have conducted raids in the West Bank in the search for the teens and their kidnappers since they were abducted on June 12. Since the search started, more than 240 Palestinians have been arrested in the operation dubbed "Brother's Keeper," the army said.

Knesset sessions for tonight have been cancelled, according to Israeli media reports.

There are reports that Israeli soldiers have already been deployed in Hebron, and Israeli TV stations earlier showed pictures of soldiers searching through rubble and military vehicles moving through the village of Halhul, just north of Hebron.

At the end of a White House press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked about the report of the deaths, news of which broke in the middle of the briefing.

“We obviously condemn in the strongest possible term, violence that takes the lives of innocent civilians,” he said. “But I don’t want to react any further without having a chance to take a look at that report myself.”

Bias Against Israel
........................................................................
Jun 30, 2014 • By NOAH POLLAK
weeklystandard.com

Here is what bias against Israel looks like. Three Israeli teenagers are abducted by the terrorist group Hamas, and after a desperate weeks-long search for the boys, they are finally found—dead in shallow graves near the site of the abduction. While all this is happening, Hamas instigates a new round of missile attacks from Gaza, firing 56 rockets at southern Israeli communities. The Obama administration's response? Express sympathy but call on Israel to refrain from responding.

Barack Obama and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Moments after the news broke today that the bodies of the teenagers had been found, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the U.S. was "urging restraint"—that is, urging Israel not to respond to the murder of its citizens.

Likewise the president's condolence statement concluded with an admonition that "all parties refrain from steps that could further destabilize the situation."

Make no mistake—this is not a call on "all parties." It is a call directly to Israel, as Hamas already acted to "destabilize the situation" by abducting and murdering three teenagers and it continues to "destabilize the situation" by launching dozens of rockets a day at Israel, including 16 this morning. Throughout this rocket campaign Obama issued no statements calling on Hamas to stop "destabilizing the situation."

Hamas is prosecuting a multifaceted terror offensive—and Obama's position is to call on Israel not to respond, on the grounds that that would be "destabilizing."

The murder of the teens and the rocket fire from Gaza are, of course, entirely the fault of Hamas. But it would be taking too narrow a view of the situation not to consider the way over the past five years the Obama administration has shaped the environment in which these events are unfolding.

A few examples: Israeli intelligence believes the Hamas cell that carried out the abduction was run by a Hamas leader who lives openly in Turkey.

The Erdogan regime has, of course, made Turkey a comfortable haven for anti-Israel terrorists, allowing weapons smuggling to Hezbollah, staging the terror flotilla to Gaza in 2010, hosting (and feting) Hamas leaders, and so on. Obama's protest? None. In fact, a few years ago Obama said that Erdogan was his favorite Middle East leader, and Obama over the years has offered nothing but lavish public praise for Erdogan.

Another example: The Obama administration has consistently adopted policies whose effect is to make Hamas rule in Gaza easier. One of the first foreign policy moves the administration made—you can read all about it in Hillary Clinton's Hard Choices, where she writes earnestly and proudly about her involvement—was to pressure Israel to weaken its blockade on Gaza after Operation Cast Lead, the short war that ended days before Obama's inauguration in 2009. Every dollar of aid provided to Gaza is a dollar freed up for Hamas to spend on terrorizing Israelis—and the Obama administration for five years has been insistent on Gaza receiving substantial aid, and Israel relaxing its blockade. Clinton and Obama pushed through another loosening of the Gaza blockade after Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012.

Yet another example: The Obama administration, including Secretaries Clinton and Kerry, has always insisted that the U.S. taxpayer should continue funding the Palestinian Authority even if it forms a "unity government" with Hamas, which after many years of trying was finally consummated last month. The Obama administration even coached the Palestinians on how to organize the new unity government so that the administration would be able to claim that it does not violate a 2006 law forbidding the funding of exactly such a PA (instead of Hamas terrorists receiving ministerial positions in the Palestinian Authority, there are Hamas-approved "technocrats" occupying the ministries—i.e., cutouts who do the bidding of Hamas).

And thus, with Hamas and Fatah joined in an Obama-approved unity government that will continue receiving hundreds of millions of dollars a year in U.S. funding, we arrive at the events of the past three weeks

the increased rocket fire, the abduction and murder of the teenagers, and, of course, the administration's admonition that Israel not respond to events the administration itself has played a role in bringing about.

And all the while the Obama administration insists on its "unshakable commitment to Israel's security," a phrase invoked with repetitive meaninglessness.

President by Affirmative Action
...................................................................................................

06/30/2014

The current debacle in Iraq is the latest result of a long string of incompetent decisions made by President Barack Obama. His premature decision to withdraw from Iraq left a power vacuum that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is happy to fill.

The US still has troops in Germany so many decades after World War II. So I cannot see why Obama could not keep enough soldiers in Iraq to keep the peace. Now, America’s worst nightmare might come true - an anti-American Taliban type state in Iraq that gives shelter to America’s enemies.

Obama inherited a stable Iraq from his predecessor. The war against Sunni extremists group, the Al Qaeda in Iraq, was won. The heavy lifting was done by George W Bush and the US military. It takes sheer stupidity to be able to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Add in his empty threat of a ‘red’ line in Syria which emboldened America’s enemies, his disastrous Obamacare roll-out, the lacklustre economy ( GDP declined nearly 3% in the first Quarter of 2014) despite spending a $1 trillion stimulus package, his failed reset with Russia, the failed green initiative as exemplified by Solyndra and Obama has failure written all over his face. Now the other shoe is about to drop. The pullout of US forces from Afghanistan is likely to achieve the same abysmal result as in Iraq.

Russia has taken note of the weakness of America’s President. The result was annexation of the Crimea.
Meanwhile, China is pressing its territorial claims against smaller Asian countries. American withdrawal from the world arena has led to more upheavals and a more dangerous world.

At home, Obamacare remains unpopular. Premiums have risen for many Americans. Things will get worse after the employers’ mandate is implemented after the November Congressional elections. His promise of “If you like your doctors, you can keep it,” proved to be a lie. He has swapped five top terrorists for one likely deserter, a move that will encourage more kidnappings and a slap on the face of soldiers who served honorably.

Income inequality has gone up. Black people are worse off now than when he became President. You name it and he flunked it. Economic growth is poor with a low labor participation rate. He wanted to reach out to Republicans. Instead he passed Obamacare without a single Republican vote. His IRS targeted conservative groups. So much for bipartisanship and healing the country.

He promised better relations with allies and instead bugged the phone of world leaders.

How has America managed to elect twice a man of such breath-taking incompetence?
In 2008, Obama had zero accomplishments to his name. He was a Senator for only three years before he became President. Half of the time as Senator Barack Obama, he was running for elections. Had he been white, he could not be elected. Americans elected him out of white guilt.

Over the past decades, liberal professors had drummed into their students that America is racist. Black people were brought over to work as slaves in the plantations. After being freed, they continued to face racial discrimination.

Race hustlers continued to bang the racist drum long after America ceased to be racist. All the while they were doing nothing to actually help black people. They were more interested in keeping blacks angry and white liberals guilty than in solving the problems. What they wanted was political power by “rubbing raw the sores of discontent” as how Saul Alinsky put it.

To get rid of their guilt, Americans were conned into voting for this unaccomplished man that they knew little of. Just as better qualified White and Asian students were pushed aside to allow lesser qualified black students into universities, better candidates for President were set aside to elect a black man.

This has resulted in America’s first affirmative action President - a man totally unqualified to hold the office. The result is what you see at home and abroad - a diminished America abroad and a broken American economy at home.

[Satire]Two Thousandth Missile from Mexico Hits El Paso, Texas Area.
................................................................................................................................
Dan Miller's Blog ^ | July 5, 2014 | Dan Miller

Note: This was originally posted on December 9, 2012. It seems relevant again in light of Hamas' renewed attacks on Israel, the current Latin American invasion of Texas and King Obama's efforts to redistributed our new youthful resources elsewhere in His America.

***********************

No end is in sight as the United Nations directs the U.S. to negotiate a peaceful settlement.

Following years of demands by la Raza that the United States relinquish all occupied territories to Mexico, missiles began falling on El Paso, Texas and neighboring areas north of the border between Texas and Mexico during the early morning hours of December 6th. Under the previous administration, the United States had imperiously ignored all such demands and no significant progress toward returning the territories to Mexico had been made even under the current administration. Due to the persistent failure of the imperialist United States to agree to a peaceful negotiated settlement, Amigos de la Raza in Juarez, Mexico understandably found it necessary to take appropriate action. No spokesperson for Amigos was authorized to speak to the press. However, informal off the record remarks made it clear that El Paso had been selected because too many Mexicans could have been injured if the missiles had been directed toward occupied territories in California. It has not yet been possible to calculate the death toll in the El Paso area because the MOP (Missiles of Peace) continue to strike.

Some right wing conspiracy theorists have suggested that the missiles may have been supplied to Amigos de la Raza and affiliated cartels such as the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Organization during Fast and Furious. Attorney General Holder declined to comment beyond observing that he had no information to that effect and that when facts are lacking right wing extremists can be counted upon to spew lies.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, speaking from Tel Aviv, expressed solidarity with the United States while wiping tears from his eyes. (NOTE: Earlier reports had suggested that the tears had been shed during uncontrollable fits of laughter when PM Netanyahu heard the news. However, an aide to the PM brushed off the suggestion: "The PM laughs only at stuff he thinks is really funny.")

PM Netanyahu did not offer the United States any of Israel's WMDs (Weapons Minimizing Destruction) because Israel recently had to use some and can't spare any. Instead he suggested that the United States should halt construction in all occupied territories (including not only in Texas but also in California, Arizona and New Mexico) as the best road map to peace. He noted Israel's smashing successes in negotiating with her peace partner, Hamas, following Israeli acquiescence in similar demands suggestions from United States and other bastions of freedom, democracy and peace around the world.

The U.N. General Assembly, called into emergency session by Mexico on December 8th, voted almost unanimously, the United States abstaining, in favor of a resolution demanding that the United States refrain from retaliation -- including the non-proportional use of warning sirens and construction of bomb shelters in affected areas -- and negotiate in good faith with the sovereign nation of Amigos de la Raza Mexico. Should such negotiations appear to be moving in a fruitful direction, the General Assembly will consider sending peace-keeping forces from Egypt and Iran to El Paso and other affected areas within the occupied territories.

President Obama will continue to monitor the situation from time to time as he deals with more important matters of state, including discussions with top economic advisers on how best to blame the Obstructionist Party for fiscal cliff unpleasantness. He was heard to giggle while rejecting a tearful plea from House Speaker Boehner that he please not do that. A statement by the President's Deputy Assistant Under Secretary for Pest Press Control made it perfectly clear that President Obama often chews gum, walks, talks and monitors important developments simultaneously. Secretary Clinton, busy attending to crucial matters of foreign policy, could not be reached for comment.

However, Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., stated that she had abstained from voting because the White House had not told her that there was to be a vote, what it was about or what to do where. She stated that as soon as the necessary information and instructions are provided she will vote on any subsequent resolution as directed by President Obama.

since he took office what has Obama been doing to implement the Cloward-Piven strategy?

  • Through an Executive Order he removes the welfare work requirement. This requirement was put into place during the Clinton presidency. Clinton was forced into it by a GOP congress. Immediately the welfare roles began to diminish and the income levels for those in the lowest income quintile began to climb. As soon as Obama eliminated the work requirement the welfare rolls started to expand again .. as did the expense of the program. Another dot.

  • The rules on Social Security disability were softened. Today the numbers of people claiming and receiving Social Security disability checks has exploded. I recently read of one Democrat administrative judge who overturned virtually ALL decisions by Social Security hearing officers to deny disability benefits. Yet another dot.

  • Obamacare. Perhaps you haven’t noticed, but Obamacare is a massive wealth seizure and redistribution plot. Younger and healthier Americans are being forced to pay huge premiums for insurance policies with far more coverage than they need in order to subsidize the insurance policies for older and poorer Americans. The cost of Obama will overwhelm the federal government and the cry for “single payer, i.e. socialized medicine, will eventually win the day. Another dot.

  • The Hispanic invasion. Since pretty much day one Obama has steadfastly refused to secure our borders. He has repeatedly made public utterances that have been interpreted by Central Americans as an open invitation to come to America, without permission, to sit and wait for the eventual amnesty. Our social welfare systems in the border states are being overwhelmed by the costs of the hundreds of thousands of so-called “immigrants” swarming across the border. Another dot. By the way, don’t buy this Obama Bolshoi about how his administration has been deporting record numbers of illegals. It’s nonsense. It’s all in what you call a “deportation.” Obama has ordered that when a Latino shows up at a border crossing without proper documentation, and is turned back, that should count as a deportation. Uhhhhh ….. right.
  • Unemployment insurance. Under Obama we’ve seen endless expansions and extensions of unemployment insurance. Unemployment insurance costs have gone up for employers and for the federal and state governments. The cost is quickly becoming unsustainable. Another dot.
Every one of these actions promoted and undertaken by Obama has led to exactly the type of chaos Cloward and Piven outlined in their article. The system is being overwhelmed. America simply cannot sustain the costs of the millions of people being put on the government dole at Obama's behest. We are at the point where over 50% of all American households are receiving some type of unearned government entitlement check, and the percentage grows every passing day. We're headed to destruction, my friends, and you're not going to like what Obama and his fellow travelers have planned to save the day.

Ignore the diagnosis if you will. Denial is common. Get angry if you will. Call me a racist, a hater … anything you want. It doesn’t change the diagnosis.

Whistle past the graveyard! Maybe that will work. Know, however, that governments are not forever. Constitutional Republics like ours based on the rule of law and property rights generally destroy themselves after about 230 years. Ignore that though. Couldn’t happen here, right?

Before you go … something else. America is the only nation in the world that has seen a decrease in economic freedom for seven years in a row. Another dot?

Connect them, ignore them. Sooner or later, though, you’re going to have to fight. You’re going to have to undergo the therapies and treatments that will restore our body politic – our country – to health. Are you going to do that now when victory is possible? Or are you going to wait until the situation is so far along – the Cloward-Piven Strategy and Obama’s destructive plans – that victory is doubtful .. but you fight because your back is against the wall.

Your choice.

French 'Mother' Kills Teacher in Front of Class
....................................................................
By Selwyn Duke July 7, 2014
americanthinker.com

It was headlining AOL on Friday: a story about a woman stabbing a schoolteacher to death in front of a class of five and six-year-olds. The gruesome and bloody crime occurred in the southern French town of Albi; the victim was a 34-year-old mother of two.

But a certain bit of information is conspicuously missing from virtually all the reportage. We’re told the killer was under the impression that the teacher had accused her five-year-old daughter of theft. We’re told she had a history of child abuse and “severe psychiatric problems.” We’re told she’s 47. And we’re told she’s a she. But her name is nowhere to be found, and information about her background is...well, you’ll see.

This isn’t true of the victim. Every news source I checked provided her name. The International Business Times (IBD) even led with it in the title: “Deranged Mother Kills Teacher Fabienne Terral-Calmès in Front of Class.” The killer, however, is almost universally identified as “the mother.” But I was sure I knew what the big secret was. Those tow-headed Norwegians are at it again.

The AOL piece, from the AP, did the "The Mother" thing exclusively.
Other sources, such as IBD, reported that the police have not released the attacker’s name but that she’s of Spanish origins. Ah, okay, a Franco supporter, no doubt. But I still thought I knew the truth.

So I dug further. New York’s Daily News reported that “[a]uthorities would not comment on what spurred the horrific stabbing.” The BBC said that The Mother used a “long knife.” The Telegraph identified The Mother as a “Spanish national” (emphasis added). We’re getting closer…

I even checked the French publication L’Expresse, which, after being spit out the other end of Google Translate, told us about The Mother, “t would be of Spanish nationality” (obfuscation is always a bit more interesting when processed through artificial unintelligence). The paper also tells us that the school “is located in the district Lapanouse in sensitive urban areas.”

“Sensitive urban areas.”

My, that could be the electronic translation of “scary ghettos where angry, unassimilable North African immigrants will rob you blind and beat you within an inch of your life while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar!’ and where, when you call the gendarmes, they say, ‘Are you crazy, Monsieur? We’re not setting foot in there!”

Or it could be that we’ve got nothing on the French when it comes to euphemizing.

Anyway, the “sensitive urban areas” link takes you to a demographics page that, while telling you nothing about race that I can see (I hear they can’t collect that kind of information in France), gives you all sorts of statistics relating to income, education, employment, etc. Because hey, we know that everything boils down to economics. Allahu Milton Friedman.

But now we come to the U.K.’s Daily Mail. Ah, the headline-hungry Mail. It actually tells us in a subtitle that The Mother – get the digitalis and hold on to your hat – is “Moroccan-born.”

Of Spanish descent and of Catholic background, I’m sure.

Now, come on, lamestream media, you can do it. Say, “Mus…lah…” That’s it, come on, concentrate. “Musl…l…l…ugh…”

Okay, clear your throat, take a sip of water, and, you know, if at first you don’t succeed…

“Muslim!”

There ya go! Was that so hard? I know it doesn’t roll off the tongue when doing negative pieces quite like “Christian,” “conservative,” or “Tea Party” does. But no one ever said journalism would be simple and easy, especially since it is mainly practiced by the simple-minded of easy virtue.

Of course, what will now easily roll off the tongue, in reaction to my commentary here, is “racist!,” even though Islam isn’t a race. “Okay, then Duke must be a religionist. Hmm, no, that’s not it. But he’s got to be some kind of -ist.”

I’m a realist. Some will ask why any of this matters, what purpose it serves to identify the Islamic faith of criminals other than to inspire hatred toward Muslims. Well, why identify a perpetrator as a woman, mother, “youth,” or man? We could just write, “Sentient biped disrupts the function of other sentient biped with forged implement.” That is, until the National Organization for the Advancement of Sentient Bipeds gets in on the act.

It’s no doubt true that people aren’t too likely to persecute more basic groups such as men or youths, since we all usually have men and youths in our families. Racial, ethnic, or creed-oriented hatred can be dangerous. But then why was George Zimmerman quite tendentiously branded a “white Hispanic,” an approach that led to attacks on whites? Why is it that all and sundry claim to this day that mass killers are inordinately white when even just a cursory examination of the facts proves that this isn’t so? Don’t believe for a moment that the media really care about racial harmony. They care about political correctness.

The point here is that when the media steadfastly suppress the facts about crime
– skewing people’s grasp of reality with respect to it – there’s a problem. And when the media consistently exercise a double standard, twisting truth to demonize whites or Christians while calling those who speak the truth demons, we have to ask: where does the prejudice really lie?

It lies with the liars.

IRS worker suspended for pro-Obama activities
..................................................................................
The Washington Times ^ | 7-10-14 | Stephan Dinan

An IRS employee was suspended for 100 days for using his job at the agency’s help line to try to convince callers to vote for President Obama, a government watchdog agency announced Thursday.

The employee, whose name wasn’t mentioned in the announcement from the Office of Special Counsel, admitted to using his job for political purposes and agreed to the settlement that involved a 100-day suspension.

“OSC’s complaint alleged that, when fielding taxpayers’ questions on an IRS customer service help line, the employee repeatedly urged taxpayers to re-elect President Obama in 2012 by delivering a chant based on the spelling of the employee’s last name,” the investigative office said.

The OSC also announced a U.S. Postal Service employee was fired after he ran for seats in Congress and solicited donations to his campaign, violating the Hatch Act that limits government employees’ ability to get involved in politics.

Obama administration in disarray on Israel crisis, officials say

State Dept. Will Not Defend White House Criticism of Israel

Conflicting messages from the Obama administration to Israel are prompting concerns that the White House may not have a coherent strategy in place as the crisis in the Middle East escalates, according to former U.S. and Israeli officials.

Senior Obama administration officials in recent days have alternatively lashed out at Israel in increasingly stark terms and defended the Jewish state’s right to defend itself against terror.

Questions about the disparate messages led the State Department on Wednesday to distance itself from a top White House aide who harshly lashed out at Israel during a speech yesterday.

The inconsistent messages have caused confusion and worry in both Jerusalem and Washington, D.C., according to multiple sources in both cities who told the Washington Free Beacon that team Obama’s disarray is fostering greater unrest across the Middle East and emboldening rogue regimes.

Israeli and U.S. sources following the issue described a dangerous lack of clarity at the White House, which comes as Israel is being barraged by some 300 rockets, including advanced long-range missiles capable of reaching deep into the country.

Senior White House aide Philip Gordon, the White House coordinator for the Middle East, surprised Jewish officials and insiders late Tuesday when he derided Israel and accused it of denying the Palestinians dignity and sovereignty during a speech in Israel held as Hamas rockets rained down on the Jewish state.

Top officials from leading Jewish organizations in D.C. and Israel privately expressed shock at the remarks and could be heard grumbling about the timing of Gordon’s speech during events held early Wednesday in the Capitol.

“Israel confronts an undeniable reality: It cannot maintain military control of another people indefinitely. Doing so is not only wrong but a recipe for resentment and recurring instability. It will embolden extremists on both sides, tear at Israel’s democratic fabric and feed mutual dehumanization,” Gordon was quoted as saying during a speech at the Haaretz newspaper’s Israel Conference on Peace, an event that was marred by physical violence.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was forced to distance herself from Gordon’s remarks
when asked about the speech by reporters on Wednesday.

“I’m not going to parse his words,” Psaki said multiple times, explaining that the administration blames both Israel and the Palestinians for the failure of the peace process.

“This administration is fully coordinated in our message,” a senior Obama administration official told the Free Beacon when asked about the series of remarks.

Gordon’s harsh remarks clashed with separate comments issued this week by White House and State Department officials in D.C., who expressed solidarity with Israel’s military campaign to root out Hamas terrorists.

“We strongly condemn the continuing rocket fire into Israel and the deliberate targeting of civilians by terrorist organizations in Gaza,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said at Tuesday’s White House briefing. “No country can accept rocket fire aimed at civilians, and we support Israel’s right to defend itself against these vicious attacks.”

“We certainly support Israel’s right to defend itself against these attacks,” Psaki added in a separate briefing on the same day.

Former officials in both Israel and the United States said that the Obama administration’s erratic messages on Israel come at a dangerous time and are contributing to regional chaos.

“Right now the administration sees no contradiction between condemning the Hamas rocket fire and maintaining its recognition of the Hamas-Fatah unity government,” former Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren said on a conference call hosted by the Israel Project (TIP).

The formation of the Palestinian unity government, and the quick endorsement by Western nations, helped pave the way for the current instability, Oren said.

“There’s been no indication whatsoever that the United States or other members of the Quartet are willing to renew or reassess their very quick recognition of the unity government,” Oren said.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is taking “no responsibility” for the rocket attacks, yet is claiming to be “a victim of Israelis reprisals,” Oren explained. “No one is taking Mahmoud Abbas to task for this at all.”

The Obama administration’s disparate messages betray a lack of support for Israel, according to former White House National Security Adviser Elliott Abrams.

“Israel is under attack, with millions forced to flee into bomb shelters every day, so it is incredible that the administration chose these days to have an official deliver a speech in Tel Aviv that blames Israel for the failure to achieve peace,”
Abrams told the Free Beacon. “It was not just bad timing but shocking timing, because allies who are under military attack deserve to hear one message from us: solidarity. That is not what Israelis heard from the United States this week.”

“And as always,” Abrams added, “the administration’s failure or unwillingness to send that unified message reverberates in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, and Tokyo and Seoul, Kiev and Warsaw. And it is loudly heard in Tehran, Moscow, and Beijing.”

One former Israeli diplomat told the Free Beacon that the Obama administration’s unfocused diplomacy has made it nearly irrelevant in Israeli society.

“Gordon’s speech was unscripted [and] it was an example of what not to do,” said the former official. “These were incredible things to say to an audience that I’m sure wanted to hear what he was saying, but it was not based in reality to talk about the good will and the peace process when the bodies from terrorism in the West Bank were just buried.”

“If I were an Arab leader still in power in the Middle East I’d be fearful of either the naiveté or their conspiratorial nonsense,” said the source, who described Gordon’s remarks as “very strange.”

Senior officials with leading pro-Israel organizations in Washington also admitted to having trouble wrapping their heads around the Obama administration’s strategy, or lack their of, as they put it.

“The strategy is bizarre even by the standards of this White House, which has a history of declaring that it is Israel’s best friend while working against Jerusalem behind the scenes,” said one senior official with a pro-Israel organization who would only speak on background about the White House’s internal strategy.

“What’s the point of expressing support from the podium in D.C., if you’re just going to undermine it by publicly attacking the Israelis on their home turf while they’re being hit with rockets?”
the source asked. “What’s the point … when the only possible result is that you’ll look out of touch and hostile?”

Analysts say the White House’s conflicting messages betray a larger lack of focus on foreign policy issues and a total disengagement from the fraught politics of the Middle East.

“The problem is that the White House isn’t interested; this is part and parcel of a larger disengagement from the Middle East,” said Danielle Pletka, vice president of foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI).

“What do we want from Iran? A place in the Nobel pantheon. What do we want from Iraq? For [President] Maliki to go away and make it all better. What do we want from Egypt? Nothing. Syria? Kill people more quietly,” Pletka said. “Having no policies puts the White House in a bind, because unfortunately, ‘duh’ is not foreign policy.”

French Muslims Chant “Slaughter The Jews,” Teenage Jewish Girl Attacked By Man Shouting “Dirty Jewess, Inshallah You Will Die”…

Oddly enough, no French Jews chanting “slaughter the Muslims.”

Via FPM:

The firebomb went off Friday night at the entrance to the synagogue of Aulnay-sous-Bois, a northeastern suburb of the French capital. A Middle Eastern man assaulted a Jewish 17-year-old girl on a Paris street near the Gare du Nord train station by spraying pepper-spray on her face, shouting: “Dirty Jewess, inshallah you will die.”

In Belleville, an eastern suburb of Paris, a demonstration Saturday by a few dozen people against Israel’s attack on Hamas featured calls to “slaughter the Jews,” according to Alain Azria, a French Jewish photojournalist who covered the event. The crowd also chanted “death to the Jews,” he said.

DOJ investigates Nebraska parade float critical of Obama

The U.S. Department of Justice has sent a member of its Community Relations Service team to investigate a Nebraska parade float that criticized President Obama. A Fourth of July parade float featured at the annual Independence Day parade in Norfolk sparked criticism when it depicted a zombie-like figure resembling Mr. Obama standing outside an outhouse, which was labeled the “Obama Presidential Library.” The Nebraska Democratic Party called the float one of the “worst shows of racism and disrespect for the office of the presidency that Nebraska has ever seen.”

The Omaha World-Herald reported Friday that the Department of Justice sent a CRS member who handles discrimination disputes to a Thursday meeting about the issue. Also at the meeting were the NAACP, Norfolk mayor Sue Fuchtman and the Norfolk Odd Fellows, which coordinated the parade.

Why Did the State Department Announce a Travel Warning for Israel?
..........................................................................................
Jul 22, 2014 • By NOAH POLLAK
weeklystandard.com

Yesterday, moments after Secretary of State John Kerry departed for the Middle East to attempt to broker a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza war, the State Department issued a warning recommending that “U.S. citizens consider the deferral of non-essential travel to Israel” due to the threat from “long-range rockets launched from Gaza.”

Interesting timing.

Long-range rocket fire from Gaza has been dramatically curtailed in recent days by the IDF’s ground operation, and was heaviest at the beginning of the war – some two weeks ago. Despite Hamas and Islamic Jihad barrages of M75 and M302 rockets fired at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on July 8th, 9th, and 10th, no travel warning was issued.

Israel earned over $10 billion last year from 3.5 million visitors, the plurality of whom were Americans. Coming at the height of summer tourism season, State's warning could cost Israel many millions of dollars in lost revenue.

So why did the State Department issue this warning not when long-range rocket fire was a more serious threat, but only yesterday, days after such fire had decreased sharply, and coinciding with Kerry's trip to the region?

The answer may be that the Obama administration is using the travel warning to exert pressure on Israel to agree to a ceasefire. It could be a shot across the bow – a deniable but very real signal to Prime Minister Netanyahu that the Obama administration’s support for Israel’s operation in Gaza has come to an end, and that there will be consequences for its continuation.

And at the same time the State Department was delivering a blow to the Israeli tourism industry, Kerry was showing solidarity with Gaza by announcing a $47 million aid package, much of which is slated to be administered by UNRWA, the corrupt and terror-linked UN agency that has been in the news for storing Hamas rockets in one of its schools.
Reporters who cover the State Department could be forgiven for asking some probing questions today about whether travel warnings are being used as an impartial means of ensuring the safety of American travelers – or whether the warning system has been transformed by the Obama administration into a means of deterring a close ally from doing what it believes necessary to protect its civilians during wartime.

Breaking: State Dept. Refused Sandbags & Machine Gun at Benghazi Consulate- “It Would Upset the Neighbors” (Video)

...................................................................
by Jim Hoft on Tuesday, July 22, 2014

The Obama State Department refused a request by staffers in Benghazi for sandbags and a belt-fed machine gun to help to increase security at the consulate.

They were told it wasn’t “aesthetically pleasing” and “would upset the neighbors.”

Nearly a year before the Benghazi attack on 9-11 2012, the consulate warned the State Department under Hillary Clinton that an Islamic militia group had moved in right next door.

The NY TIMES made a big point about how many children Israel is supposed to have killed.

Not mentioning, of course, that Hamas puts them out there to be killed.

Incident at Wafa Hospital
35 Power Line

(Scott Johnson) The IDF has posted the illuminating video below (it’s posted here), explaining that “Hamas has turned Wafa Hospital into a command center and a rocket-launching site. Hamas has fired at Israel and at IDF forces from the hospital. As a result, the IDF repeatedly conveyed warnings to the hospital staff and urged civilians to leave the area. Hamas continued firing from the hospital. In response, the IDF targeted specific sites and terrorists within the hospital grounds. Secondary explosions can be seen, confirming IDF intellgience about the site.”

Mpls. Mayor Flashes Gang Sign with Convicted Felon; Law Enforcement Outraged

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has obtained a photo of Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges posing with a convicted felon while flashing a known gang sign.

The man in the photo is a twice-convicted felon for drug selling and possession and illegal possession of a firearm. He is currently sentenced to five years at the St. Cloud Correctional Facility, with the prison term stayed for three years while he is under supervised probation until 2016. If he violates terms of his probation during that time, he will serve the five years behind bars.

The photo was taken a week before the November election while the mayor canvassed neighborhoods with a nonprofit group in a get-out-the-vote event. Hodges declined repeated requests for interviews, but her spokesperson told us the mayor enjoys meeting with many people who are organizing on the North side.

The spokesperson also says the man in the photo is well regarded by the nonprofit that employs him and the mayor is simply "pointing at him" in the photo. Retired Minneapolis police officer Michael Quinn, who also managed the department's Internal Affairs Unit, says the photo is "disappointing because it puts police officers at risk."

When asked to respond to the mayor's statement that she is just "pointing at him," he said, "She can't be that naive. I cannot imagine."

"She is legitimizing these people. She is legitimizing gangs who are killing our children in Minneapolis and I just can't believe it. It hurts," Quinn said.

Quinn says law enforcement agencies are "going to be pissed about this. They're going to be angry, and they should be."

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS was alerted to the photo by law enforcement after they discovered the photo on the man's Facebook page while doing investigative work. Several law enforcement sources in separate agencies tell us they were outraged when they saw the photo and say the sign the mayor is flashing is known to be the sign of a gang on the city's North side.

We asked Minneapolis Police Chief Janee' Harteau to comment on the photo, but her office declined our request.

Back in 1975, after Hillary Rodham had followed Bill Clinton to Arkansas, she helped create the state’s first rape crisis hotline. She had her eye on the big picture. What was Hillary like in her one-on-one encounters?

Hillary served as the attorney to a 41-year-old, one of two men accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. The girl, a virgin before the assault, was in a coma for five days afterward. She was injured so badly she was told she’d never have children.

In 2014, she is 52 years old, and she has never had children, nor has she married. She reports that she was afraid of men after the rape.

A taped interview with Clinton has recently emerged; on it Clinton makes clear that she thought her client was guilty, and she chuckles when reporting that she was able to set him free.

In a recent interview, the victim said that Hillary Clinton “took me through Hell” and “lied like a dog.” “I think she wants to be a role model… but I don’t think she’s a role model at all,” the woman said. “If she had have been, she would have helped me at the time, being a 12-year-old girl who was raped by two guys.”

Hillary had her eye on the all-caps resume bullet point: FOUNDS RAPE HOTLINE.

Hillary’s chuckles when reminiscing about her legal victory suggest that, in her assessment, her contribution to the ruination of the life of a rape victim is of relatively negligible import.
