I would say that Isis, having sold Syrian antiquities and looted northern Iraq's banks, may not yet have AQ's capabilities, but they probably have more funds to acquire them than AQ ever had.

Forget hijacking commercial airplanes, they can BUY commercial airplanes!

I think the key is to get Islamic fundies to hate someone else more that us, but that's a long term project. With our divided government, any new long term project has a dim outlook.

“We’ve decimated al Qaeda’s top leadership in the border regions around Pakistan, but in Yemen, in Libya, in other of these places – increasingly in places like Syria – what you see is these elements that don’t have the same capacity that a bin Laden or core al Qaeda had, but can still cause a lot of damage, and we’ve got to make sure that we remain vigilant and are focused on preventing them from doing us any harm.” — Obama at the University of Miami on Sept. 20, 2012.

That one is a good catch. Sort of blows a gaping hole in the claim that Obama was trying to avoid describing what happened in Benghazi as terrorism because it would have conflicted with his message that al Qaeda had been defeated....

That's what's hilarious............Obama has annoyed his fellow Dems forever with his talk about terrorism being an ongoing problem in the world and that the US can't choose to isolate and ignore it. Then the weasel and his progeny show up claiming otherwise. Its nice to see Cheney and daughter get a thumpin' on Fox News of all places.

Another whining weasel who seems to finally be losing some credibility is Issa over his Benghazi 'investigations':

huffingtonpost.com

I don't understand why no one investigates why Issa's San Diego office is only a few doors down from his 'former business', the one he allegedly no longer runs and gave up after he decided to run for Congress.
