Apparently God is not wanting to intervene and set us straight as to the "true church" stuff. The best thing to do, imo, is to follow the advice in the Bible concerning 'false prophets' and how to know them. Googling brings up an assortment of scripture from both the old and new testaments. Ezekiel and Jeremiah in the OT and John (the first) in the NT come to mind. Basically, false phophets will be known by their fruits is the gist of it. Your apology is definitely accepted. :)
