It was me who wrote about AAPL doing better than HP,CSCO,IBM,INTC,ORCL,TXN last week. I didn't mean to use that to counter Keith's point. It was just an interesting 'observation'. One that was meant to remind everyone that as depressing as things seems right now for AAPL, when put into proper perspective it's not that bad.

I think Mark's point was that things change so quickly in the high tech industry that even companies that seems invincible may find themselves in trouble in a matter of few short years. Sure HP,CSCO, IBM and INTC's future are brighter and more predictable than AAPL today but on one can say that it will not change in a matter of a few short years. Even giants like INTC had their troubled days and almost went under. I think the point is well taken.

Sorry to have fanned the flame. Perhaps we should drop the subject here.
