Redskins --- LANGUAGE of the governing federal law which PROHIBITS the granting of federal trademarks which are "offensive or disparaging language"
But what does the federal law say about continuing a registration in place for decades? Perhaps it should not have been granted, but it was. If you take it away the US should pay for it, as in any other taking by the gov't.

Can't wait to see the first cartoon with a 'redskin' brandishing a pale face scalp.

The trademark can only be revoked IF the trademark was disparaging at the time the trademark was issued. It was not. It's revisionist history. I have a picture of the Navajo code talkers wearing Redskins jackets. Navajo high school name their own teams the Redskins. Warpaint was oftentimes red.
