most everything that is written by the press is.... b.s. (with few exceptions)

their job is to sell print copies/eyeballs to an audience that not necessarily is either knowledgeable or one that can think critically, (indeed the masses) , so creating controversy, and in many instances without research, they believe they are accomplishing their job (regardless of true information value they are supposed to provide)

germany will always be a world futbol power... notwithstanding of a change in their character.... particularly in a sport as competitive as this (futbol). their actual level of results may vary depending on many factors, including how good the OTHER teams may be in each WC...

having said that..... you can ALWAYS count with germany being an aggressive, determined, skilled and NEVER SAY DIE team..... this does not mean that..... neither other teams may beat them, nor that they could not make mistakes, but it is the character of each individual player and as a team that will be filled with positive qualities.... it is in their nature......

as of right now..... in spite of me saying that it would be very tough for a european team to win the WC in brasil.... i consider germany, italy, or the netherlands very possible candidates to win the cup...

what i have seen thus far in this cup, is that the second tier teams seem to be providing some surprising results..... (until today, when the netherlandands beat chile 2 x 0)
