Are there any stocks in this sector that might be a good candidate for a drop down MLP and/or a carve-out MLP? Remember what DVN did awhile back as part of their restructuring efforts doing a "carve-out" of some of their shale oil producing assets. They received a large percentage of the combined MLP units which generates excellent FCF and income (back to the GP DVN) that translates to a higher sustained dividend to the DVN shareholders.

As the U.S. shale land is developed, I expect much more consolidation especially in the Midstream companies. We have had several large deals announced in 2014 and probably several more too.
